Contemporary Gas Stoves
Modern & Contemporary Gas Stoves
Contemporary gas stoves are handsome examples of great design. Place them in a modern home and they will create a striking focal point that draws everyone to it. You are no longer confined to those made from the traditional cast iron with ornate detailing either. Today, you can choose simple, elegant stoves in modern designs of black steel with stainless steel legs or glass fronted stoves on classy black plinths. All, of course, feature highly realistic coal or log flame beds and have discrete controls that are hidden away but allow you to regulate the heat they emanate and the fuel costs.
Many design magazines and television programmes like to feature wood burning stoves today. Whilst these may look good, they are not particularly practical in the modern house. They require constant cleaning; create a lot of dust and need a large flue. They take a long time to warm up and it is difficult to regulate the amount of heat they give out. You can, however, have the handsome looks of a wood burning stove but with none of the disadvantages if you fit a modern gas stove. They look just the same but are much more suited to our hectic modern lifestyles. They come in a range of sizes too, with classic upright flue pipes or rear facing, depending on the space they are to fit. They can be used with smaller chimney flues or if you do not have a chimney in your home, you do not have to go without. Flueless stoves are available which use the latest in catalytic converter technology, allowing you to fit them almost anywhere.
So if you are of the opinion that a contemporary gas stove is out of place in a contemporary living room, think again. With so many understated chic designs from which to choose, you too can enjoy the simplicity, warmth and beauty a modern gas stove will bring to your home.
